Harmony Breast Clinic was established with a clear vision in mind – to improve the healthcare experience and outcomes for women in the South West of WA who are confronting or at risk of breast cancer.
We welcome those who are concerned about their family history of breast cancer, those with new breast symptoms for investigation, and those who at any time have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Connecting the pieces
Through what can be a very challenging and disjointed experience, we hope to pave the way for timely, informed and compassionate care.
Our Breast Physician can help you understand and navigate your needs and will work closely with your team of specialists to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
Where additional supports are needed we will connect you to our carefully selected network of specialised nurses, allied health professionals, and complementary practitioners in the region, who have experience in facilitating recovery from breast surgery and breast cancer treatment.
FAQ
Do I need a referral?
No. We accept self referrals.
Do I need my own GP?
We are happy to work alongside your regular GP, for example to provide risk assessments or cancer survivorship plans that your GP can then incorporate into your care. If you are newly diagnosed with breast cancer and do not yet have a regular GP, we are happy to be your first port of call. Similarly, if you are facing long wait times to access your regular practice for a new breast concern, we can get the work up started and map out a plan with you.
Over time we recommend that women attending our clinic do become connected to a practice providing full time GP services. We are a part time and specialised clinic, we do not offer services such as urgent care and immunisations.
Will I have a biopsy at Harmony Breast Clinic?
No. We refer off site for imaging and biopsies if these are required.
We are happy to refer to both public and private services depending on individual preference.
